Playing silently
Practicing late at night after the family has gone to bed is now posible. As an option, M. MILLAN pianos are available with a device which allows the pianist hears his playing through headphones, while the instrument remains inaudible to everyone else.
A mechanical mute system avoids the strike of the hammers on the strings. At the same time, an electronic device generates the right tones, like in a digital piano. The resulting sound can be any of a built-in number of digital sampled banks, and it can also be extracted and externaly amplified through the out stereo connectors. With this system, the player enjoys the mechanical advantages of the acoustic pianos without disturbing anybody.Furthermore, a MIDI controller allows the user to send the musical data to computers, sequencers, digital keyboards and other MIDI devices. Now, the best possible master keyboard is below the pianist's fingers.
